History
Since the age of 8, he has been practicing his craft, honing his skills and perfecting an art form that has astounded audiences from across the globe. Erik Mana’s skillfulness in the art of illusion, sleight of hand, hypnosis, pick pocketing and mentalism has now garnered him the title of “The Philippines’ Premier Magician”.
He began his professional career as a magician in 1989 in Toronto, Canada, and toured across the country with some of Canada’s respected masters in the industry. In ’95 he went on to scholar as a stage hypnotist and has since been a continuous student of the human condition, magic and all things bizarre and mystical. For the next 6 years in Canada, Erik would continuously write, design and perform his magic at nightclubs, college circuits and corporate events. His skills developed to incorporate magic, mentalism and stage hypnosis all in one show, which made him one of a very select few in Canada to bring such skills together at that time.
In 2001, Erik moved back to his homeland of the Philippines and has since taken the country by storm with his own brand of magic and mayhem. He was the first Filipino magician to bring magic to television and into the mainstream. Erik Mana’s magic has also reached across the world, seeing stages in Canada, U.S.A., Philippines, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Qatar and Dubai. He is surely becoming an international phenomenon with the world as his stage and magic as his language.
Erik Mana is also a member of the world’s oldest and most prestigious magic society - The Society of American Magicians (S.A.M.), whose members include Harry Houdini, Harry Blackstone Jr., and David Copperfield.
